It's been a little quiet here. Too quiet...
I know the GrC has sorta died out, but I still have hopes we can come back strong. I'm not gonna keep updating this site a whole lot though, I have enough trouble keeping my own blog updated.
However, there are at least three games floating around (two of which have demos) that may at some point become GrC LAN party staples, and are worth checking out:
So go out and gear up. There's more to come in multiplayer gaming (not including all those console wussies) so stay sharp! |

So there have been a few changes. Cosmetic, most of them, but many functional. Notice on the left, there are a few new items (under "Site Navigation" now instead of the ever-uninformative "Modules"). I was looking at the source page for our leaderboard and, lo and behold, there was a phpNuke module! So, I have since converted over to this page. Note I've added the prefixes onto the GrC members, just to be spiffy, and in case we have some people join the community who aren't clan members. (BTW, who is Kapt.Kip?) Also on the left you will find the GrC Server Rules, still a work in progress and always available for editing. Added this as a module too so it could stay within the site wrapper. (Been having fun coding php...) Ditto for the BF2 Ranking Points Guide which was posted earlier as a news article. Updates to the FAQ, the Downloads and Web Links sections, and general theme changes have been made as well. Couple of new blocks to draw your attention to. (Blocks are the units on the left and right which contain links and such.) Starting on the left, we have informational links for BF2 and BF2:SF, all referencing the authoritative UBAR site. And after that is a new search box for BF2 nicknames or PIDs. On the right, at the top we have a new status box for our server, with a "play" link on it. Hopefully make it a little more obvios to visitors. I would love to get something like this, but it costs extra per month from the Game-Monitor folk. And lastly is a new block to the BF2 wiki. Lots of good info there. If you see something you don't like, or want something cool added, let me know. I'm havin' fun. |

"Omg, wtf happened to the leaderboard???" Well you might ask, grasshopper. For my nefarious plan has come to its fruition, and I have taken over your browser... no, really, this is just what I'd been imagining we could do for the clan site. I'd seen lots of clan websites running phpNuke, and I thought to my self, "Self, how cool would it be to actually run phpNuke?" And, being the considerate person I am, I answered, "W00t! Pretty frigging 1337, mate!" And so, after a brief call to my web host ( 1&1, very awesome people) I discovered that, not only do I have my own MySQL database to play with, but I can upload and play with any bloody php app I want!! Plus, they upped my bandwidth to 500GB/month.... mwhahahaaaa...... And so after much trial and tribulation, I threw this together. And I kid you not on the trials. I edited the theme myself manually to try and get it to match our forums, but it needs some work still. So create some user accounts, and let me know what modules look good (I like the downloads idea, we can stick patches up here, screenshots, bf2cc, etc.) and what really sucks and needs pitched. Ideally I'd like to stick the forums on here too to make it all one unified umbrella, but the thought of that gives me a bit of a headache... So, where are the usual sites you have come to know and love? Glad you asked! Here ya go: GrC LeaderboardGrC Forums |
